- Identifying risk factors is just one way to identify vulnerable adults.
- Not all people with risk factors or a disability are going to be vulnerable adults or vulnerable to abuse.
- Caution must be used when we assume by age or a diagnosis alone that someone meets the criteria of a vulnerable adult.
Not every elder or person with a disability is a vulnerable adult.
